TUFF Marine is not just another performance boat manufacturer. Our roots are firmly embedded in world class speed boat racing where founder and President, Mark Weigl, along with his wife and teammate, Dana, captured both national and world championship titles in their 32' triple engine Skater catamaran affectionately known as "TUFF n' UFF".

The "Dynamic Duo" raced TUFF n' UFF along with celebrity drivers like Chuck Norris, Don Johnson and Kurt Russell where Mark gained the reputation as one of the elite premier rough water throttle-man in the world

Racing success took the husband and wife team to "Pro Stock" events all over North America as well as Japan capturing top driver honours multiple times.

After retiring from racing, Mark became actively involved in the Poker Run circuit where he was involved with an incredible 150MPH 36’ skater which was deemed the "fastest production pleasure boat in the world"!

By the time TUFF Marine was launched, Mark and Dana had accumulated a wealth of world class racing that was directly injected into the design, engineering and craftsmanship of their TUFF line of pleasure speed boats. From "head turning" design to incredible power, handling and safety, TUFF boats have become the industry standard that other manufacturers strive for in "High Performance Boats".

Along side Mark and Dana is second generation boat builder Thomas Weigl who is currently designing the replacement for the TUFF 21 with the all new TUFF 20.
